Why do I cling to a fallen hero? Every time the hero rings a heroine gets her pedestal. I’m your heroin heroine. I cannot deny that I love the pedestals that I fear. But I am the almost that should never be again. I loathe my cravings for the nothing that believes it is something enough to live. Words give the illusion of action. I sit in withdrawal for the inaction that breeds longing. I listen to flakes by my window everyday. Flakes evaporate and become one with the air that you breathe. My soul listens for relief. My weakness is humanity-I need you and you need heroin heroinism. Nothing can last forever, Nothing can last forever. Nothing will live until I decide it should die. I am afraid to mourn and live again
Bill~ Thank you for sharing. Though my allsuion to heroin was figurative, I appreciate the support. Do no worry about tears, this was former romantic frustration from over a year ago. I have grown much since then. I commmend you for the courage to fight heroin and alcohol out of your life. Take care and keep in touch!

Xian, you write with a pen dripping tears. I do understnd how one feels under the control of heroin after the thrill is gone. As an alcoholic, I didn't start to live until I finally stopped drinking. Now I am on the tailend of a wrecked life, and can only try to salvage a little of what my life should have been. Good luck and God bless you. Miracles do happen, but we have to believe in them.
