Prof. Joseph Ellis a famous historian lied about his history.
edifying - rarely
uplifting
let stand
rusted
flag
pole
trusted
lies that inspire
a life
should be
named silent
wound stolen
blood-stained
salt
preserved on pages
a taste of truth
acting wrongly
failure of knowledge
teaching
a child learning sums
replaced by myth
superior strength
weakened a story
where
the emphasis should lie
on pressed angles
of fabric bark
selfish history
compensates
small delusions made to
match the grand universe
only authentic envy
true without consequence
accidental anti-hero
stitching the binds of a
new wound
