Scenes of Christmas
Balls of snow
Balls of shiny glass glow
Some fly through the crisp air
Some glisten in colors that make young eyes stare.
Icicles of frozen water hang
From eaves of homes where carols are sang
Shimmering icicles drape the green pine
Wherever they may pick up the colored lights shine
One star hangs over a scene from up high
Bringing its light and hope for a world to live by;
Blinking and steady sparkling lights drape house and tree
Reflecting the dreams of adult and child this Christmas eve.
Under the star’s light a lone baby
Waits to lead a lost world to its new destiny;
Packages big and small draw eager eyes old and young,
Holding dreams and plans and a story of a Christmas song.
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
