As night leaves
she lifts her head
from a pillow of tears
to find him gone.
Again.
Her ethereal lover.
But she knows where,
knows why,
knows everything about him
since he lives inside her self.

ever-watchful,
protective,
part of her inner peace and beauty.
The keeper of her tranquility,
the Guardian of her soul.
Her very existence;

is his being.
