Struck with cancer, my first wife was given three years to live at 34. Those years were still so special. I could not ask for more!

All my friends are getting so much older So are all of my loved ones and me You would think that time would slow down But it just keeps going faster, you see I recall taking care of my first wife She had cancer and was given only three years I loved taking care of her, it was an honor Taking care of others is what I truly live for Time marched on and my first wife passed That was over 35 years ago, but it went by fast My present wife is a nurse these days But when the nurse needs a nurse I am right by her side, straight away! She had an operation and will be home for 8 weeks Once again, it's an honor to serve my wife It's a life giving calling, that's truly like no other. Amen John Michael Domino 06/28/2020

Sharing and caring for a loved one is an important part of living and life. We all go through times of turmoil. Luckily many can still go forward and prosper.. I hope her recovery is a good one! Mary grace

JOHN, YOU ARE CALLED BY GOD IN SO MANY WAYS, AND YOU STEP UP TO THE PLATE EVERY TIME. MY DEAR BROTHER IN CHRIST, MAY YOU BE CONTINUALLY STRENGTHENED BY THE LORD AS YOU DO HIS WILL! You sound like a caretaker, and not all men have this gift dear poet.
I think both wives were truly blessed to have had you in their life, Praying for a healthy recovery for your wife and a prosperous life for both of you. Thank you for sharing this tender poem of loyalty and passion. xo

It is always better to give than to receive. The poem shows your commitment to your wife, both past and present, "in sickness and in health, till death do us part." If only every man felt that way about his significant other.

I will always need nursing. When my partner of 28 years needs nursing, I will have to hire someone to help both of us, hopefully not separately, but together.
