I owned a restuarant for 8 years. 90 hours plus a week were the norm, so I can relate to your poem. Those 8 years are nothing but a blur to look back on. I lost much more than I gained.
It's good to be busy. The opposite can be near torture… just as the unemployed and those who could no longer work or write.
I thought I would be able to write more when I retired. Strangely, I have actually been writing less now that I have all the time in the world to do it. Lots of time fillers have moved in to take the place of when I worked.
It is often hard to balance our lives between work and play, the younger we are the harder it is, if we are lucky as we grow old we may get some reprieve, or we may not, when you get the chance, give it all you got, sending thoughts of understanding your way, have a blessed Sunday dear poet xo
