All seek life’s essence,
Caught between that world and this
(Temporarily)

Witching valley herb
Coursing over lazy tongue
Sharpens expression,
The sway of mild narcotics
Feathering conversation
.
Tangatse berry
Tea in lazuline china,
(Less superfluous)
.
Nothing is sacred
In a world of usurpers
Seeking to suppress
Tranquilities snow-white calm,
(Rigorous self-discipline)
.
An Ascetic Life,
Pantomime with platitudes,
All moderation
.
Swatting constantly,
Imagining a future
Freed from ego-flies
.
Tibetan secrets
Exposed through longevity,
This drenching beauty
Embracing all-knowingness
At the threshold of dying
.
To again regain
Subtle sensibilities,
One moment retrieved
.
Despairing (when grasped),
The horror of Shangri-La’s
Sacred proviso,
Conway stays amenable
In the High Lamas presence…
