It Occurred to Me...

Nature can provide a wealth of insights into your life if you have eyes to see, and ears to hear. 5-7-5

Poem Artwork
As you stared at me
Briefly, while I was hiking,
It occurred to me
.
That much of life’s wealth
Stays hidden in someone’s heart
Until they open
.
And offer some part
Of what has been given them
To one less willing
.
Understanding that
In real love what is planted
Will start a process -
.
(Regenerating
Wasted barrens inside them,
And tilling the soil)
.
In preparation
For seeds of understanding
And loves yielding touch -
.
Truth fills and reaches
Past one’s heartache and sorrow
To restore the soul
.
And to help delay
The shoreline from receding,
And minds from dying
.

“But ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you, or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. In His hand is the life of every creature, and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12: 7-8 & 10

INDEED, 'HE' SPEAKS TO US, RICHARD, IN SO MANY WAYS! FOR, THE KNARLED AND TWISTED APPEARANCE OF 'PERSEVERING TREES'...GIVES CREDENCE TO THE FACT THAT 'RUGGED ENDURING STRENGTH'... DOES GLEAM...SHOWING THE 'BEAUTY' OF NATURE'S 'NATURAL LOVE'. I LOVE THE PHOTO, THAT FOR ME, SAYS...'STILL STANDING AND PRESSING ON'! WONDERFUL SHARING, THANK YOU, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Beautifully structured with the edging of thoughts rewarding us with a layered look into the heart of the powm. The tree was a perfect pic. I was particually moved by:Truth fills and reaches
Past one’s heartache and sorrow
To restore the soul
.
And to help delay
The shoreline from receding,
And minds from dying.

Much to embrace and re-read often. Thanks for posting.

Perhaps it was a wild animal staring at you. Wondering whether you were going to be a friend or a foe.

Or perhaps, it was your love stopping for a moment on the trail and staring at you. Once again, you realizing how much she cares.

Little Boy, our resident squirrel, always stops and takes a look at me as though asking permission if he can come and eat our nuts and seeds we have placed out for him in the birds.

And more and more, she stops for a moment, stares intently at me and then runs over to give me a kiss. Letting me know, that more and more, her love deepens with each day.
