A 3000 mile journey from the Gulf Coast to the upper Midwest and back in August with lost air conditioning.
I wrote this poem after a trip we took from Houston to North Central Wisconsin to be with my family for a week and back. The flower was drawn by my partner, Beh. It was one of the first scans that I made with an Apple Scan 1. I later colored on my computer with color capability. The butterfly was one of the stock images on the computer at that time. Images have become so much easier with AI.
I just came across this poem among my papers. Had forgotten that I had written it.
