Losing

I've been away for awhile...

 

Losing
 
 
Grab me I’m drowning
Too fast it is all happening
The waves of grief overwhelming
 
To lose a loved one who is still alive
Deeper into the undertow I want to dive
Turn my back and let her try not to die
 
Grab me I’m drowning
Worked hard not to be failing
Exhausted from all the battling
 
Let go and I can swim alone
Make it to the shore all on my own
But then to whom do I atone
As you go into the unknown

Oh dear. The undertow is so dangerous and the lead suit so heavy. You cannot alone rescue from treacherous waters one who does not wish it so. You atone to a higher power who knows. My heart goes out to you. Patrick
