I crept under the scrim

my vision grew dim

I tagged the cat that hid

From everything.

I scrambled over boulders__

And  pawed the moon winking

over rolling dark waves.

My dear, how can it ever be

That when I draw try to draw near

You just eat want to eat worms—

I must look up the recipe.

Epiphany by Gary Stephens

“We’re going to use nine megaton warheads in space and we’re not sure they’re large enough to be effective. Why would you even consider using kiloton-range surface-to-air warheads as back-up?” The answer was succinct. “Because they’re all we have.”
