JEANETTE, THIS WORK IS SO APROPO FOR ME. I WAS A CREDIT CARD 'ADDICT'. I DON'T HAVE ANY NOW AND I NEVER WILL AGAIN BUT I HAVE LOST A LOT AND RAN UP TREMENDOUS BILLS THROUGH THE 'LURE' OF 'BUY IT NOW AND PAY FOR IT LATER' WAY OF THINKING. THIS IS A DYNAMIC WORK...THAT SHOULD BE POSTED ON AND OFF, LINE. VERY WELL DONE AND APPRECIATED. LOVE AND BLESSINGS, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Credit cards are easy to get and charge on , but hard to pay.. We only have one now with low interest.. A great article!......M

This is WHY we cut up ours! and said a prayer to BETTER OUR LIVES!
and that was 10 yrs. ago! I don't regret it, but I miss it!
Utilities are enough to try and stay up with!
I also like my lay-aways still, a little each week and I still appreciate!
Love this much NEEDED LIFE and LIVING reminder~!

Sometimes I wonder if it were not better in the older days where if we wanted an item, we waited until we had enough green stamps. Today it's instant gratification. And credit cards are the devil luring us into their tempting trap. You said it perfectly, Jeanette.

...and you have said it all...very well...there is no more to say. Now put this piece in every credit card enticement that continues to be mailed to those already in debt on a daily basis. Perhaps that is again asking for...too much.

Very well done. I admit to being part of the credit card generation. My hubby & I were caught up in their use for quite some time. We snapped out of it just in time. The world is raising more of these users as we speak. Fast food chains now accept credit cards! Maybe if people can't afford a cheeseburger with cash, they should be cooking something economic at home. It sure is healthier! This is a great read, plus it's thought provoking.

Good and very timely one, Jeanette. Our banking and monetary and credit system is geared to interest accrued through the transfer of items and movement of cash. No spending, no movement, no interest, and the system fails. The latest move is the "reverse mortgage" which will keep the system cycling while it pumps the last penny out of elderly home-"owners". Greed giveth and greed taketh away.

I think credit cards are evil: I wouldn't have one to save my life! They may be better than carrying a whole wad of cash, but they sure can get you into trouble if you don't know what you are doing! Good write, Jeanette; brava!
