The sun peeked from behind a cloud and shot a beam through my window. It struck me in the eye and knocked me out of bed! I plodded off to work Hastened by the hour, Mingling among the crowds, With dreamy cobwebs clinging And sleep turned sour. My eyes - Oh, my eyes - How they wish to close! My body remains alert, But I am semi-comatose.
