We are the ones seen
But not seen,
Who guard the king
With swords
At the ready,
And our steely eyes
Constantly scanning
The crowds who
Adore and worship him.
They do not know
As we do
That we guard
A total lunatic,
A madman
Who demands complete
Obedience
And total loyalty
From his minions,
Who will in turn
Avert their blind eyes
From the despotic truth,
That he allows
Foreign kingdoms
To slither and whisper
Invisibly behind
His golden throne,
Enabling and emboldening him
Like master puppeteers
As together,
They chisel away
The mortar of
Free society.
We will guard him
With our lives,
But we cannot guard
Against his insanity,
We cannot guard the kingdom,
But only its king.
We have sworn
Our allegiance to him, and
We stand ready
To lay down our lives
For his;
And so it will remain
Until sanity restores
Clear vision and
Good sense
To save the soul
Of the kingdom.
