To me this
Holiday season
By friends and strangers
Alike
Refresh my faith that,
In a world filled
With hate and
Intolerance,
There are still those
With hearts of gold,
Who won't hesitate to
Reach out to
Those in need,
Blessing them
With little fanfare
And often without
Recompense.
But I don't forget
Those kindnesses
(Not one!)
And always repay them
Directly or indirectly
By paying it forward;
So thank you to all
Who have blessed me
This holiday season
With helping hands
And generous hearts,
May your kindnesses

Your poem was a letter to all of those who have been kind and generous. And there are a lot more of them than one would think. Why we hate or fear different people is beyond me. I've found some of the most different people to be the kindest and most helpful. There's a lot of that going around, not just on holidays, but all year round.
