This is the main poem in my published book.
This poem brings healing to a broken heart.

 Where You Are

Three years plus since you've been gone, Since that fateful Sunday dawn.

With your friends you went up north, To celebrate July the fourth.

We did not know that when you left, The time was nearing to your death.

The memories and the pictures taken, Help our journey through grief to hasten.

It has been a long and grew some road, To carry such a heavy load.

We miss you each and every day, We wonder why you went away.

Many words have not been spoken, To express how our hearts are broken.

If we could see through higher eyes,  We'd have answers to all our why's.

One day we'll see you in the sky, When our time comes, bye and bye.

But for now will just have to wait, Until our turn at the Golden gate.

This is a portion of the poem. Contact me at (931) 994-8189. I will let you know more information. I would like to share my story.
Thank You! Diane King

How very sad...My Dad used to see it’s good that we can’t see around
the corner, to what will happen to us...
I hope you have found some peace at last...
Time is the only true healer I have found...,
but as Andy says..it’s can often reappear when we least expect
Sending Love...

This tragedy has touched you deeply. No one knows that when or why tragedies happen. You will need to write your book and perfect your poem before you are truly through with mourning.

While I wrote love poetry trying to attract girls in high school that never worked, I began writing poetry earnestly when I nearly died in my life changed drastically as a result of a surgical accident when I was 20. I had to put that mourning for my old life aside to move forward in my new one.

The longing is unbearable. The grief is lifelong. No word can ease the pain.

It's a timeless pain that often returns when we least expect it.
