Across the Miles
(For Jesse)


Remember this, if you remember nothing else:
you are loved,
and you deserve to be.


No blood ties us together, yet somehow
hearts met and fused.
You did me honour, asking me to be
your online grandma, and I promise you
I'll do my best to be
that, and better still, to be a friend.


Remember this: God loves and I love you,


That's how it's going to be.
