The Exit

ready to die

 


The spilling of the blood that you’re seeing


The hole that escapes the bleeding


 The time was coming and you know it


The red sea of cells has made you a believer


You knew it was going to happen


 Your nothing but yesterday’s news


All your friends have stepped out


Even your mom can believe you’re on the way out


You’re pitiful


You’re messed up


You pissed me off


You committed your last breath


Walking against me was you’re last road


Your methods have corrupted you


I have felt the need to correct you


Life can’t have the two of us


Pain is setting in


Still in shock


Now another


I can’t wait till you see the other


I am so mad


Your last breath is almost there


I pull it out and rip up with a tear


Look at me


I did this to you


 Never forget


Yeah me


Your brother


You screwed up didn’t you


I am still not even


Ground is getting closer


Now you’re ready to close your eyes


Watch the beams of light


Feel the air grow stale


Your spirit is leaving you


Exhale

This sounds like a fight between life and death, and death wins.
I saw this fight in real life - my son's last breaths.
A beautiful write, but tragic.

This reminds me of the Cain and Abel battle. I liked your description of blood as "The red sea of cells ". A dark write of delighted fury, from the depths of Poe perhaps?
