I see contradiction, painful search and maybe anger followed by resignation. Those footprints were left when wandering the path of life, with all the repetitive patterns that are inevitable. Splitting seems vital and yet it also evokes loss and pain... I just posted a poem entitled "Severed", semantically not so far...
Hey Jude
Its been a long time coming. The process of maturing surely takes its toll on all of us. There was a time that we all thought we knew it best, but in the recesses of our minds we know it not to be true. This realization comes from the maturity that we gain when we observeourgranchildren growing so fast and so smart even sometimes smarter than we thought we were!
Love your thoughts in this poem. You always inspire me!

Interesting, to say the very least. Kickass lines throuughout the poem, each one seeming to be able to stand alone. I completely and wholly enjoyed reading each annd every, jam-packed with such insight and thought proving words. Class all the way.
Excellent writing as per your usual, but disturbing and colored by anger and frustration. I hope all is well and this is written in observation and not from a personal assault.
It's good to see your award-winning words again. But you haven't made a complete split by coming back here with this rant that takes the cake and eats it too. Whether it's lemons or lemmings, I will avoid the herd.
WHOA!!! By whom you have been offended? This hateful style of poetry is definitely not your usual style! You can ONLY be offended by others if you let them. Leave them be where they belong. They don't deserve your anger.
Just a note: Never follow anyone's footprints, not even your own where failure has been.
