there is so much mystery to life
a twisted mastermind at work

whose transcendent moments open thoughts
to reveal hidden colors of motion
arising from circumstantial things

when light and darkness
simultaneously find a way through the veil

when a grand revelation is recognized
and responds to the energy
it knows as its own

there is infinite chaos in the stars
so much confusion here on earth

yet the mystery of its fall
keeps everything vital and in flux
maintains purpose
in living and dying

in the morning newspaper I read a story
where an elderly couple
found dead in bed were holding hands

I was overwhelmed by the utter genius
and mysterious beauty in such an embrace
