I Danced with the Devil Ha! Ha! Ha!

I Danced with the Devil Ha! Ha! Ha!

I danced with the devil …
Long had he a stinky tail …
Yes! Every time I grabbed it …
He said, “Boy go on down to hell!”

The devil said he’d whip me …
Holding his long black, stinky tail …
He stood and danced around my town …
Proud! His white feet never touched ground.

The devil was a pretty thang,
An illusion and dressed in bright Red …
Yes! Every time I bit his fiery horns -
Poof! He tempted me with another sham or scam!

Well, I strived to be a most Godly man,
I never feared darkness or a good fight,
As I woke up that special night,
I saw our devil waiting to damn me out of sight!

I know what you R thinking,
I’ll start & end this moral with another rhyme …
“But, neigh!” I say,
Yes! Our devil sprayed me with sticky, yellow slime!

“Its too late for foreplay,” I screamed …
So pleased our devil and his herd seemed …
They laughed & danced, laughed & danced,
Well, at least, until I started to fight & pray!

The devil danced with me,
I held tremendous wells of faith …
And every time he challenged it, God said,
“My child, fight & pray that beast away!”

Ha! Ha! My naïve, impressionable friends,
I hope you know how to dance & swim …
I turned around and smiled my smile,
Ha! Ha! Ha! Not the end …

My thought for today:  In a place where the truth is blurred by evil men, it has become less important whether i live or die.  It is more important, how I live or die!  Signed ===>>> A Shy Warrior

Well you hit upon a key truth in what you say that you prayed and yes God does want us to keep it that way. Your last lines says it all. It how you live or die. Well done.
