... it helps to hear the music when reading this song ...
- I'm feeling fine ... its just a song ...

Black Superman Blues

(a blues song)

====================================
Some folks say,
“Son! You got da rhythm!”
Some folks say,
“Son, you got all da right moves!”
Some folks say, “Sonny!”
“You got da Black Superman Blues …”

I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …
I got everything Bad,
One man can possibly have …
I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …

Done seen Moses
Done seen da parted sea
I sing da Blues, just to be free
Done seen sweet Jesus -
Shake da leaves
Right off a weeping willow tree
Done seen much temptation …
Done even seen, your MF’ing ass too …

I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …
I got everything Sad,
One man can possibly have …
I got da big ole Black
Earthshaking Su-per-man Blues …

Ain’t got no money
Da MAN done gone and stole
My sweet, sweet honey
He said, ““Sonny!
“You acting kind of funny!”
Da MAN is trying to prop up,
His delusional Su-per-man ego…

I got da big ole Black
Earthshaking Su-per-man Blues …

Seen every kind of fix
Seen da impossible come true ...
Done gone and seen -
Mind f***ing Su-per-man Blues …

White Mischief says, “Sonny!”
“You must have da Alabama blues!”
Black Mischief says, “Honey!”
“You must have da Mississippi -
Black Su-per-man Blues” …

I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …
I got everything Mad,
One man can possibly have …
I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …

Don’t know no Black magic
Don’t know no earthshaking secrets
---Done seen da tears flow
------Done seen da Devil grow …
Done gone and seen
Words jump right off dis heartbreaking page

Don’t know no optimistic answers
But, I still know Honky-tonky tonk music …
Baby, I sure as hell,
Still know them ole funky, funky, Blues

I got da big ole Black
Su-per-man Blues …

Although 20 years late,
I thank all of you commenters, readers etc.

I actually have seldom looked at this poem song
for obvious reasons. Truthfully, I wrote it, OK as
a release from what ever I was feeling 20 plus years ago.

I am a much different, better man now chiseled out of repeated challenges.
