Standing in the glare of these city lights
straining to hear
On these lunar days and

Endless nights

Of this eclipse ..that transpires
which way shall I throw myself,…or.
pray to the heavens,while
waiting for Hell to swallow
me in descent,. into a deeper isolation,
an oblivion ,a chasm
waiting
for the stars to shine brightly
Where breath comes without  struggle

Hoping to be guided by
a destiny , to some future
somewhere beyond
this
period., still again
a reincarnation
of this withering, spirit
of  soul, lying unfinished
like a book, half finished
left,................... sitting
on the shelf
waiting ,to be reopened read to
the completion,  a life long journey
To where I know not
but to journey

Stan, it has been a pleasure watching you grow stonger and stronger in the writing craft, you keep raising your own bar, one poem at a time.

Cheers,
Dan

Stan, you're right. I think wse've been on the same wavelength.
The thoughts may be similar, but you've outdone me with words like
this:

still again
a reincarnation
of this withering, spirit
of soul, lying unfinished
like a book, half read
left,................... sitting
on the shelf
waiting ,to be reopened read to
the completion

Great stuff. -gene.
