Would You Trust a Stranger

At first sight I did not think of him

As anyone I’d want

For as shortly as he did appear

I knew it was a hunt

But silly me…I could not phathom

The fallacy hidden beneath his grin

And suddenly he took away

My sail above a howling wind

At first I blamed myself

For not becoming his precious jewel

But then I realized that it was he

Who was the unclothed, engaging fool

Would you trust a stranger

With your heart of golden pin

Or would you never take the chance

To ever love again

For there are mountains that stand tall

To hide the face of winds made strong

While grueling seas….whose waves of beauty

Rise above its somber song

How different then …is it the ways of lust

Of love hidden deep beneath a sin

Responding to the moods and thoughts

Of a stranger who would pretend

We may not want to face the desires

Of the mind as it toys with romance

And courts the moments of passions lost

That did not have a chance

Would you trust a stranger

To carry you  beyond the core

Of a wishful love lost in deception

That your  heart could not ignore
