Walking Among Angels


The kind words of strangers
Calm the weary mind
Bestowing words of wisdom
To the multitude they find
No one ever knows for sure
Just exactly where they’ve been
They just sort of appear
And then move along again
Elongating shadows
They stretch their immense reach
Instilling self confidence
To everyone they meet
They weave in and out
Of the traffic and the lines
And with seemingly little effort
Only smiles are left behind
Adults have trouble spotting them
It’s a concept that some cannot conceive
A great many have forgotten
While others no longer believe
But children on the other hand
Recognize the angels on sight
They see the good within them
The darkness overpowered by the light
I trust my students’ intuitive powers
I believe in the insight they express
I listen to the thoughts
And the emotions they address
So I write this for all my angels
I have come in contact with
For they chose to help my sons and daughters
And helped them realize their gifts
