At my older Daughter's graduation from college a few weeks ago . I had a conversation with her Sister-In-Law about my book and needing inspiration to write 10 more poems. I said I need something that generates strong emotion. This brought about bursts of suggestions from everyone else n the group. One suggestion from the sister-in-law was "like the jerk who cut me off on the way up here?" I said "I know the first line of that poem!" and here it is . . .
Who the hell do you think you are?
Cutting me off in that sporty little car
I see you zipping in and out of lanes
jumping lanes are you insane?
Who the hell do you think you are?
I was going there too, when you cut off my car
I was legally trying to change lanes when you came
and cut me off then you flip me off like I'm to blame
Tell me what did I do, to piss YOU off?
Just driving following the rules of the road
when you swerve by almost hitting my car
I honk cause I think you don't see me
Honestly . . . Who the hell do you think you are?

yepp!! i know this one too,on the way back to Cali from Fl we were driving a woman cut me off on the interstate hwy well little to her surprise a cop saw her and pulled her right the hell over..
A Friend wrote a piece in response to this one. It was good so I thought I'd share it here.

I'm MR. BIG STUFF!
That's Who I Know I AM!
And If I Cut You Off In My Sporty Little Car
I'm Really Really Sorry Ma'am!
I Have A Perfect Explanation
You See I Was In Pain
My Ego Had Been Wounded
That's Why I Was Constantly Changing Lanes
My Babe Left Me For Another
My Mind Was Going To & Fro
That's Why I Wasn't Driving Legally
Obeying The Rules Of The Road
And Not Only You Thought It Was Idiotic
Thinking My Driving Was Insane
'Cause I Flipped A Few People Off That Day
While Changing In & Out Of Lanes
Now The Road Rage Is Gone
And What I Said May Be No Real Excuse
But I NEVER EVER THOUGHT
My Babe Would Ever Turn Me Loose!
At The Time I Just Didn't Wanna Accept It
I Just Knew Everything Was Right!
But My Babe Didn't Signal Green
Instead I Got THE HAND...THE RED LIGHT!
Since Then I've Found Another
And This Babe Really Is MY STAR
'Cause I'm MR BIG STUFF! And Hopefully That Answers:

I have felt like this on the road before...and THIS poem really captures a lot of people's frustration and anger!

When I wrote ths book in 2000, I was concerned about children having access to the Internet and to chat rooms where "you can be anyone you want." Here we are many years later and the situation with children talking freely to stangers on the Internet
