Imagine what it must be like to know you are hours from passing... imagine it, feel it... what is it like for you?

Poem Artwork

Light shows dim
Shadowed figures check in
Drifting in drifting out
Guess there’s no doubt
Just a shell that I’m living in
Wires and tubes
Take the place of real food
Meds make the pain go away
Once in a while
I manage a smile
My way of saying please stay
No more lonely a time
Than here waiting to die
Knowing the loves left behind
When I take my last breath
Just as my lips say goodb….

A powerful write that is compelling to say the least. I have worked with individuals who were dying, and were being fed by way of tube. I cannot imagine, I do however feel the overwhelming sence of pain and perfection in this write! Holly

I watched my father die. This is graphic and harsh but true. Thanks for sharing. Love and peace to you,

Great, knowing my purpose is done and I'm going home to the Lord.
Sadly I've still gotta lot of work to do for the Lord..

I can honestly say I have wondered how it will be. If I will fear but not anymore I have the Lords word. I have wondered what I would do in the finale passing hours.
Nice thought provoking poetry well expressed.
