Contributed by Casse Clark:

This is an indie film
I am the girl in the black stocking cap
and you are the boy with the long hair and bad complexion
we'll love each other anyway
even though neither of us want to admit it
we'll do pensive things and give transcendental promises
we'll smoke Camels like they were candy cigars
and drink a beer together for breakfast
I'll write patheticly morose poetry
and you'll try to change the world one Democrat at a time
we'll be so far removed from the conventional world
that we'll forget we're not the only ones in it
we could be an indie film
and I would always love you anyway.

Love this poem ... such an accurate description of young love when anything seems possible. Well done slice of life write.

" ... we'll do pensive things and give transcendental promises ..." Mad applause for that line alone. I really enjoyed this poem - makes me glad I popped in today.
