Breaking Away

All is still in the silence the wind only sighs echoes out through the valley our long lost goodbyes… Couldn’t stay where the heart only twisted in pain forced to breathe death in whispers while love was in vain. Time was never the answer the coldness just grew numbed the feeling of caring I once felt for you… Now it’s over and still you can’t see that I’ve won found the voice to uncover the damage you’ve done. Finding freedom so sweet I don’t know why I stayed couldn’t change your disease never mind how I prayed… Looking back I remember how quickly it faded wounds infecting the mind ‘till my thoughts were all jaded. Though I may never find all the answers I crave it’s enough just to know it’s myself I can save... Life’s too good to be wasted and God knows I tried… now the future to me is a door opened wide.
