Red Rock Canyon Waterfalls
There was a time
when waterfalls
fell over rims of red,
and sunrise broke
upon the scene
to promise better things;
but wells dried up
and bitter springs
were all that came to be.
The sun set dark
upon the rims
were once pure waters flowed.
Oh, to see the sunrise break
upon the scene again…
when rimmed of red,
rock canyon walls
spill o’er
with waterfalls!
