Written after a sudden and short lived fall of snow.
Snow storm

The snow storm
had gripped pole and wire,
with frosted stars
so brilliant white,
they hurt my eyes.
The floated, folded coats
looked sharp and fine,
frozen against the world
of metal and wood
they’d claimed as home.
Later though,
they drooped and sagged,
much poorer made.
The tailor had lost
his needle in the warm wind.
