Like a hamster in a cage

Like a novel

That’s being read,

But never turning the page

A re - run of a movie

Reciting every line

History repeating it’s self

Time after time

An old vinyl record

That’s stuck in a groove

Trying to lead a horse to water

You just can’t get to move

Driving on the interstate

Without gps or map

Just ending up

At the start

Doing another lap
