A Christmas Poem for Kids

RUDOLPH'S NOSE NO LONGER GLOWS

It rained throughout Christmas night
As fog overcame all starlight
Santa panicked, what could he do?
For Rudolph had vanished from sight

Poor Rudolph had hidden away
Too ashamed to admit his plight
Suddenly his nose would not light
His shame was such he could not stay

The elves went out,searched snowy woods
Rudolph had hidden in a cave
Their calls to him were understood
But twas his pride could not be saved

Mrs. Claus was quite the modern spouse
Quickly searched her computer sites
And as she scanned, her PC mouse
Opened one that solved their plight

Batteries proved the answer sought
The toy shop held all she bought
Comet offered to be the one chose
To wear a light upon his nose

Christmas was saved that fateful year
As Santa puffed up with cheer
Rudolph returned and smiled with pride
Next year he swore he'd lead the ride
