When I get to Heaven..
 
can i bring a suitcase please?
 
or just a carry on

just a photo
 
of the two of us

I may not remember
 
his face
 
when St Peter
 
let's me through the gate
 
and I know this is a one way flight
 
but i need to remember him
 
i am afraid
 
that i might just forget
 
once he is out of my sight
 
I do not know how long
 
it may be
 
or if I get a return flight
 
to Earth
 
don't want to hitch hike
 
on a passing UFO
 
don't want to cause a fight
 
because my heart
 
won't let go
 
of my soulmate

if i can carry a picture of
 
him in my heart?
 
because I don't want
 
the memories to fade
 
with each passing decade
 
As I am blinded with tears
 
of the forgotten years
