Social interaction is the boy’s Magic Mountain,
His mega thriller in surround sound;
His roller coaster ride to hell.
This modern boy looks like Frankenstein
With spiked, bleached hair.
To magnify the attention he craves,
He wears lipstick and uses eye shadow
Becoming a wall of denial.
His appearance is a protest
To a fast moving world

He will enter the work force or
Claim a spot alongside a freeway off-ramp

While waiting for water to turn into wine.
Who knows, this boy might be dreaming of an unexpected blood bath,

Something the news media uses to entertain the masses,
A soap opera of illiteracy.
It seems that this beast with 666 carved into the back of his hand
Senses he is on a roll.
We will leave no child behind!

Yours is always a strong, true voice speaking as it sees and caring as all of us ought, but don't, unfortunately. There's a sense of betrayal in this, we've led by bad example and it may be too late to turn and "for water to turn into wine." We are as societies and as a species quickly falling apart.
