To the sick child laying in a hospital
bed holding Mommy's hand-
To the wheelchair bound who's
only dream is just to stand.
To the unfortunate people who are
going to bed hungry tonite-
To the tired old man across the way-
slowly losing his sight.
I send this hug - I send my love -
to every one of you-
Hold on to my hand - let me help
you make it through.

This is to the homeless - living on the
streets alone-
This is for the lonely searching for a
loved one that's gone.
This is for the hurting - when the pain is
more than you can bear-
This is for the man or woman needing
someone to hold..to care.
This is for the runaway's - the missing
children -around the world-
This is for the Daddy crying by the
grave of his little girl.

This is for the alcoholic who has to have
that one last drink of gin-
This is for the cancer patient going
for chemo once again.
This is for the heart that's breaking-
Oh, the tear's flowing down-
This is for the man living in silence-
absence of sound.
This is for every one who needs a
hug...be you near or far-
I send my huggs and love to you -
You know who your are!
