LOVES HER TO DEATH
(July 6, 2011 & July 7, 2011)

He met this girl and fell in love forever
He thought about her night and day
But when time came to settle on their future
He was afraid so he pushed her away

They weren’t speaking, then the news came flying
Her car had crashed into a tree during the storm
She was unconscious in the hospital bed dying
And no one knew if she’d recover, see the day

That’s when he realized he didn’t want to lose her
That’s when he realized he loved her here to death
There is no way that he can live alone without her
There is no way he can survive or take a breath

He sat beside the hospital bed crying
She lay there lost inside her time and place
He stared down at her face so lifeless
It seemed for sure they’d part their ways

He wished that he was lying there beside her
He wished that he could join her time and place
So he could feel whatever she was feeling
So he could see what hid behind her face

That’s when he realized he didn’t want to lose her
That’s when he realized he loved her here to death
There is no way that he can live alone without her
There is no way he can survive or take a breath

He sat with her for days and days
Until she finally reappeared
He took her hand, looked at her face
And vowed to never disappear

He said he’d be with her forever
And that he loved her here to death
There is no way he’d ever leave her
She was the one, his every breath

There is no way he’ll ever live without her
There is no way he’ll ever take a single breath
There is no way that he’ll ever lose her
Because he loves her here to death

She is the one, his every breath
He’ll always love her here to death
