Good vs. evil...a fantasy

"In Shadowland"

Close your eyes and fall asleep.
Dream your dreams and do not weep.
The nights begun, and it won't take long,
when the light comes up of early dawn.
In Shadowland.

Shadows form across your room,
filling your head with terrible doom.
You hear a voice from out of the night,
"We are armed, and ready to fight!"
In Shadowland.

A time to stand, and a time to fall.
Toy soldiers are lined against the wall.
Waiting for that single word
that turns them loose on a silent world.
In Shadowland.

Shadows blend, and shadows merge.
There is danger around every curve.
Evil evoked from ancient depths
waiting to be brought up by Satan's pets.
In Shadowland.

The golden fortress is open now.
Winged creatures turn and bow.
Their leader speaks his commands,
"We must fight to save our lands!"
In Shadowland.

The winged creatures invade the dark.
Satan's pets begin to bark.
Blinding evil with their eternal light,
they drive them back into the night.
In Shadowland.

The nightmare ends as he awakes.
But in Shadowland, the creatures wait.
Like toy soldiers along the wall,
the word will come and all will fall.
In Shadowland.
