The world lies in a darkness, thinned by fog. Stillness wraps the moment with reverance. I've a cat in the window, keeping watch for angels-- human eyes can't see what the heart must sense. Small fingers will soon arrive, rending paper, scattering bows, in frenzied, joyous excess. The world will soon awaken, but I keep a solitary vigil to remember the coming of Light in human flesh, the birth of Love's true son.
