The stomach as seat of the soul

HEAVEN...

is a mud-pie
crafted by love
offered freely
to those who
eat with their eyes.

HELL...

a smooth-edged
continuum,
where smooth-edged
souls cling to moderate
diversity
with acceptable
vibrant tones.
Sweaten with
artifice,
interchangably
arrayed
packaged and shelved,
like gummi bears
on display

EARTH...

Where we await
the consumption
of who we are,
planning the consumption
of what we will be...

Most of the time, I wish I could do without eating. But you're right. We cannot do without. Well thought-out write. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis

I like this one, Lee. Very inventive. A breakdown of life's mysteries for all of those who are food motivated.

Hi Lee... I'm way behind on reading and commenting on your works... will be corrected asap--
As to this little sweetness, I can't tell if you are being appreciative or cynical-- or a realist! Anyway: I like the imagery and contrast.

Well I like gummis and I do agree with Robert about the cosmic dust and God's breath.

They say you are what you eat and what you believe you become... but I believe who & what we are was decided long ago by cosmic dust & God's breath! Wonderful write.
