I Wonder Where You Are
Lying here in the darkness by myself night after night I often wonder where you are.
Sitting here in the still of night I doubt that you exist.
I see the people around me enjoying that which I seek; the friendships, the love, the companionships, the presence of that special someone in their lives,
and I ask myself why, why not me, why not you?
I know you are out there somewhere searching for me as I search for you,
longing for me as I long for you.
I walk down the street and in a fleeting moment I feel your presence, I feel your essence and I almost scream out, here I am it is I whom you seek.
Although I may feel lonely, I will not settle for less, one day we shall be together,
for you are made for me, as I am made for you.
And that is why I will wait for you, all the time wondering where you are.
