 Betrayal

Nobody can betray, not for sure,
That you have done it already,
That there is no way back,
Good people’s common soul,
Because good people rebels
And besides, who considers admirable a rotten soul?

The cruel shit dictator Franco,
Friend to get attached to wealthy people,
He even accepted as a present,
From La Coruña’s Council,
The pazo of Meirás,
When we all know belongs to Pardo family,
And moreover, it was forbidden to him
By Geneva Convention,
Left the Borbón’s as legacy
For us to have to who decapitate.

Romero, Pablo, Jorge,
What those times and what these,
At last we all move forward
Knowing it is Up to Victory Always.
 I am always in,
If you call me or send me a message,
I will run to you to embrace you
To laugh together at what it means to carry out               Revolution.

Life ahead
Will make us go by the hand
To fulfil a duty,
Live in Harmony.
At last to do Justice and live in Harmony,
In an Ideal Republic,
Giving back neighbours that serve you
That of something you can serve for them.

A thousand temptations we had to stand,
Apparent went falling in the cloudy and dizzying dream,
We always knowing
That being good is better.
 Justice, Goodness and Virtue,
To be imposed on earth.
Let us keep in memory for ever,
Ones aloof,
Others beside them
They were not good people either.

Merry without betrothals we will be every day

And at least with a lighted spark always,

That for all of us is a contagion smiles,

People volunteer.

After all,

This was between us all

And a lie of laughter is

We would ever play unfair.

Laughter there is too
In the minds shifting away that now asks
Everything remains such it was,
That blood do not call into account genocides,
And slavery, famines, misery, poverty, exploitation.

And we soon saw you were not fair,
You robbed us.
You strutted; ask whenever if you want
If there is anything worse,
Not afraid of the impetus of working class,
People’s Common Soul.
 It was whimsical of you
Things had to be to your liking,
Appalling always was,
Certain lies who say it was not.

To whom it seems little all the bad they consented?

Misery! Someone has not said they even promoted it?

To someone did not fall down his soul

When they spoke in the name of shit?

Someone did not rebel when dunces voted for big                                                                                    parties?

All these pending of dictates of slavery control?

Yes, all, dunces that voted for the big parties,

Big parties, all in the hands of slavery control.

We heard: In the name of shit.

Don’t you hear protestations?

Of the aberrant it is

Someone not sane has the power

And from whom only is expected betrayal?

Mediocre conspiring

At the other side of the people’s superior common soul,

Did you believe it wouldn’t splash out to you?

Looking at another side before injustice?

We all had understood already:
Poverty and misery, richness and bourgeoisie,
And my comrades and I, that we long it so much,
We shall impose Revolution in Spain.
Once for all
Putting an end to betrayal:
Revolution;
Proletarian Dictatorship;
Communism;
Collective Happiness, wasn’t it?

Wisdom is to make happy your people,

To make happy, at last, all peoples in the world.

A good time will be the celebration

When we at last get to impose same rights

And make a value our commitment

So that we be ruled by Harmony.

Long Live Revolution!
Long Live Proletarian Dictatorship!
Long Live Communism!
Life in Eternal Harmony!
Let Earth be governed by good people!

Indeed Leopoldo wisdom is to make happy your people. To fight against injustice. I thoroughly enjoy this poem. Thanks.

As I read I saw some similarities to what is happening in United States compared to the bloodied history of Spanish politics and civil war.

Interesting… And, we all know what happens to "gung-ho communism." It seems to quickly deteriorate into a dictatorship worse than a monarchy or state socialism where there is a ruling class of politicos that run everything with an iron hand, forcing their version of communism down the throats of everyone else.

Communism, giving everyone an equal start, lacks the organizational hierarchy created by free enterprise and therefore quickly becomes unproductive when everyone thinks everyone else is doing something for them for free. That's why communism falls into near anarchy very fast.
