*Transcendental Sonnet #1294:* *Cold Coffee White Coffin* *I opened my new refrigerator* *Which poetry fans donated to me* *It is refrigerated I agree* *A red bell pepper I will eat later* *And two bottles of water rolling free* *Seem to be all except for the coffee* *Which is up in the freezer because it* *Was written on the can to put it there* *In consideration of what I see* *I take out the coffee and that does it* *For my daily frigid inventory* *The novelty has still not worn off yet* *Whenever I turn my back I forget* *My white coffin of cold ...as I grow old* *+Steven Curtis Lance* *Copyright MMV*
