"My lonely dreams are spun of only these / But my love and I are never apart"

*Never Apart* *Can one who does not love be self-contained* *Content and continent within himself?* *Love is a trial sometimes as by fire* *But is denial of innate desire* *The answer for the fearful or the pained?* *Should one speak of love only for the shelf* *And not directed toward some loving ear?* *Speaking to the void from a loving heart* *The ghosts of love are summoned and appear* *And will not be denied their vital part* *Assigned to them by loving memory* *They say that only those who love can find* *Peace with these spirits and the peace of mind* *To live and be and write wise well and free* *My love is lost but I have memories* *Speaking to the void from a loving heart* *My lonely dreams are spun of only these* *But my love and I are never apart* *+Steven Curtis Lance* *Copyright MMV Silke LLC*
