Fast Bus
Trapped on a fast bus no one drives
And it never stops
We dare not ask when it arrives
The other shoe drops
When we get there but where will we
Find ourselves and where will we be?
Our fast bus goes and no one knows
So there is no use wondering
As we speed past each blooming rose
But I can hear the thundering
Of the falling sky
The blind man was healed with spittle and clay
He drove a fast bus but he lost his way
Asleep at the wheel he went blind today
Never ask him why
If you startle him and wake him
You will make him cry
It went to his head
Let sleeping dogs lie
Blessed are the dead
Let the liar die
And what about the rest of us?
No way to go but this bus we are on
So we ride blind on our fast bus
No one knows where it goes till it is gone
