In a voice roughened by regret I can hear what he has hoped for And that it has not happened yet That he has always been so strong But now he wonders how much more Disappointment he can endure Before he leaves it all behind
When he was young he was so sure He knew the answers or could find Them if he asked the questions long Enough or maybe loud enough But he got lost and things went wrong He bet it all and lost the bet And now it hurts inside his mind
So when he talks his voice is rough Since he is fighting not to cry
ONe Day a Time! I hate to sound cliche' but, dreams will happen if we put much in em'. Time for - ME - to get back to all your readings Steve! I will try to them 1 after another today. It is pourring here, I hope your well and renovations are taking GREAT shape! Warm HuGs! *She*
The point is, we must not let our dreams die. That, however, is more easily said than achieved at times. I can relate to some of the sentiments expressed here. Thank you for sharing this offering, Stevie. Love and peace to you,
That's why we must always nuture, and minister to our gifts, and fertilize, and tend our dreams. It must become a lifestyle. Perhaps we have not acchieved what we first thought we may - there are many forces that work against us each day - but we must be true to ourselves and the gifts we've been given at all costs.
We can't give up until our hearts beat their last Steven! This was a powerful and personally evocative write!

This is a true expression of an unhappy set of circumstances. It expounds upon the heartaches of living with dissapointment. It is a true to life exclamation.
On the positive side, To live when your dreams die? Make new dreams.

you filled this poem with intensity, and appropriately so...the lines tumble over each other (and that is a good thing, in a work such as this)...the reader is able to feel the desperation. This is exceptionally well written.
When we are all young we "think" we have all the answers, then we become older and find they were not answers, just more questions...keep hunting, keep hurting, keep loving, keep writing...thanks for this gift of a thought provoking write...Ed & Rufuz (w00f)
My memories as an immigrant professional woman in Ottawa, Canada 47 years ago. A new life after having survived the liberal war of a new country Bangladesh on December 16, 1971.
This book is a collection of short stories that depict events in Author's life while she lived in Romania, then in Greece, and last in America. It's a beautiful and very sincere account of a young woman's life and comming to age.
