Thank You for Being Friends with Me
Between one and the other lies
The difference which specifies
This our complementarity
What we share is that rarity
Where you like me and I like you
For and in spite of what we do
We get along I mean to say
And in a happy healthy way
Friendship like ours is seldom seen
But you my friend know what I mean
(You always know just what I mean)
Our paths diverge yet always cross
Beyond the profit and the loss
We stood the bad times with the good
And all of it was understood
You are the best friend I have had
Nor will there yet a better be
Thank you for being friends with me
The world devolves as it revolves
And only friendship like ours solves
The riddle of what might have been
And I my friend know what you mean
