"And the wheel keeps turning to turn the universe"
The Great Conversation
Midspring midmorning is to midwinter midnight
As a sandstorm and a snowstorm are both weather
As a flame and a flower a kiss and a curse
Analogous as each reflects its opposite
We weep not just at funerals but weddings too
Twin sibling rivals who meet their reflections in
Eyes which might despise their own blood by other skin
Find that fighting cocks are two birds of a feather
Two sides of one coin reconciled in one form fit
Together to cause what is to be to begin
The great conversation of this it with that it
They counter each other the while they coexist
Displace one another as what they most resist
Yet opposites balance no matter what they do
And the wheel keeps turning to turn the universe
Love becomes hate by darkness: but hate becomes love by light
