for Lushan Turner for long pants the long way
Neither fur nor feather
My specificity
Naked to the weather
In cutoffs as you see
Insecure in nether
Parts southward from the knee
Being unsure whether
To freeze fry laugh or cry
Here alone together
With me myself and I
As each extremity
Reached up and down allow
Hotter colder older
More naked to the sky
Less I guess than bold or
Once bitten and twice shy
If sadder wiser now
Unfolding patiently
More or less in need of
Clothes when I chose for love
To let it all go by
Long pants and everything
I shed my skin of stuff
Took then but what I bring
In the desert colder
If wiser even though
My pants have all been cut
Off last year past so what
Though those pant legs are gone
As castaway I go
These feet keep moving on
Though older even so
At not too old to try
Neither fur nor feather
Nor flesh nor fowl but free
To go to come again
Now at how not whether
To be or not to be
The more for having been
When being is enough
Then at the now of when
As I face the weather
As it embraces me
