The Rhythm of the Universe Dusk to dawn when the sun is gone I know It goes but will be there even so At dawn returning not turning away Coming around where it went from here Still never whatever fails to appear Up through the fear gone on but not gone The rhythm of the universe to be And not to be here but gone on there Meant as it went to be coming this way Done undone with the sun everywhere Rising and falling through all things like me And everyone turning dusk through dawn While the world I ride on hides it awhile Undone the sun goes nowhere at all There to stay but where I turn anyway Still it will dawn by morning and smile Like it knows about those who rise and fall Down but around to go on and on Turning returning I end to begin Learning by turning my way out is in Right through the night to the light of the day Falling I rise around dawn to recall The rhythm of the universe through me And all things returning turning again Down but around to go on and on Up through the fear gone on but not gone Steven Curtis Lance
